Job summary

Options is seeking a Datacentre Operations Engineer in Hong Kong to install hardware, cabling, servers and network equipment. You will manage inventory and coordinate third‑party vendors to support datacentre operations that underpin global financial markets.

Qualifications

The Role

The Datacentre Operations Engineer will be responsible for installation of hardware, cabling, servers and network equipment. They will manage inventory, coordinate third party vendors and assist with other tasks such as installations and troubleshooting.

At Options, our Datacentres keep the worlds financial markets moving and our Datacentre Engineers are at the forefront of that.

We’re looking for someone who has technical proficiency in:

• Building, designing and managing datacentre infrastructure including rack space, cabling, cooling, power and inventory management.
• Strong knowledge and experience with datacentre structured cabling and power distribution model.
• Deployment and troubleshooting experience with managed CDU (ServerTech Avocent/APC).
• Server and network device rack mounting and cabling.
• Strong English language capability both in written and verbal communication, Chinese also preferred but not essential.
• Experience with Linux deployment, TCP/IP Multicast or other monitoring systems and Market Data experience are preferred, but not essential.
