Job summary

Leadingnation is expanding its project teams in Hong Kong and seeks Data Engineers/Developers/Analysts to build data-driven applications and platforms. You will transform data into actionable products, ensure quality and security, and collaborate with analysts, scientists and IT teams to meet business needs.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of data engineering experience, strong Python/Spark/SQL skills, and familiarity with cloud and streaming technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, Statistics, Physics, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ hands-on Data Engineering experience, preferably in consulting or with Data/AI technologies.
• Experience in Python, Spark, Node.js; cloud platforms; SQL databases; streaming with Kafka; AI/ML platforms.

Job description

A reputable MNC is currently expanding their project team and is looking for multiple Data Engineer / Developer/ Analyst for their projects.

Responsibilities

• Build new applications using existing data to create new products or improve current services.
• Keep existing applications running smoothly by updating code and adding new features.
• Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and IT teams to understand business needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Maintain data quality, security, and integrity across all stages, using strong database and data modeling skills.
• Use various data and AI technologies eg. data integration, dashboards, data platforms, AI models, and GenAI.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, Statistics, Physics, or related discipline
• At least 3 years' hands-on experience in Data Engineering work, ideally in consulting or with Data/AI technologies.
• Experience in at least one of these areas:
  • Programming: Python / Spark / Node.js
  • Cloud: AWS (Azure also accepted)
  • Databases / SQL
  • Streaming: Kafka / Spark
  • AI/ML platforms or ML engineering
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Can work independently or with a team.
• Applicants with less experience will be considered for a Junior role.
