Job summary
Ashurst Perkins Coie seeks a paralegal / Legal Manager to support our Corporate Transactions group in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. You will work with partners, counsel and associates to ensure high-quality transactional support enabling lawyers to focus on clients’ needs.
The role requires drafting, due diligence, research, translations and coordination of signing and completion of transactions, with travel to due diligence trips and meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- University law degree with strong academic record.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication; Mandarin native.
- Willingness to travel frequently for due diligence trips and printer sessions.
- Demonstrated initiative, maturity and good judgment.
- Strong work ethic, ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- 1–2 years IPO or M&A exposure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and proofread legal documents.
- Assist with due diligence exercises and due diligence questionnaires/reports.
- Attend on-site due diligence trips and meetings.
- Conduct legal research and company law analysis.
- Handle translations of legal documents.
- Assist with verification of disclosure documents.
- Assist with signing and completion of transactions.
