Job summary

SD Legal in Hong Kong is seeking a senior corporate counsel to support the APAC market. You will advise on ongoing transactions, marketing, sales, and commercial contracts, while leading complex deals across Asia.

You will work closely with product teams on new products, services, and solutions, reporting to the General Counsel and contributing to a high-impact APAC leadership team. Career development is a priority in this senior role.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 PQE in corporate/commercial law.
• In-House experience in stable technology businesses is essential.
• Background handling technology deals/transactions is essential.
• Able to collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams across Asia.
• Comfortable working across cultural barriers spanning Asia, UK and US.

Responsibilities

• Support AP market leaders with ongoing transactions, marketing, sales, commercial contracts and day-to-day advice.
• Lead on complex transactions, ensuring legal support throughout deal lifecycles.
• Support product teams with development of new products, services and solutions.
• Senior counsel role forming part of Asia leadership team with visibility to strategic operations for a multi-billion dollar company.
• Report to General Counsel and be part of the APAC team with a strong emphasis on career development.

This is a new and critical hire to support the Asia-Pacific market which includes key countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

• This is a senior counsel role which forms part of the leadership team in Asia, offering oversight and exposure to strategic operations for a multi-billion dollar company.

Requirements

• Corporate and commercial background, ideally with a mix of law firm and In-House
• In-House background from stable technology based businesses essential
• Technology deal / transaction background - essential
