Job summary

Professor Brawn Cafe, a Social Enterprise, invites applications for a Cook to join its inclusive workforce serving the community. Responsibilities include cooking Asian and Western dishes to spec, maintaining quality, keeping areas clean, and adhering to NEA guidelines.

Location: Pathlight School (Ang Mo Kio Campus 1). Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 44 hours per week. The organisation seeks candidates with culinary experience and a passion to help special needs individuals.

Qualifications

• Culinary/food prep experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to locations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Genuine interest in Autism and helping special needs individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Asian and Western dishes are cooked and plated to specifications.
• Maintain consistent food quality and service.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organized.
• Ensure hygiene in food prep and storage per NEA guidelines.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Cafe Manager.

As a Cook, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

• Ensure food items (Asian and Western cuisines) are cooked and plated accurately to specifications
• Maintain proper consistency of food quality and service
• Ensure areas of responsibility are clean, tidy and organized
• Ensure general cleanliness and hygiene in food prep and storage are in accordance with NEA guidelines
• Any other duties as assigned by Cafe Manager

Requirements

• Candidates with relevant experience in culinary / food preparation skills for Asian and Western cuisines will be preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable with being redeployed and working in different locations
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
• Strong desire to learn about Autism and the passion to help special needs individuals
