You will handle end‑to‑end processing of corporate remittances and cross‑border payments across multiple interbank channels, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced environment.

This hands‑on role covers balance checks, reconciliation, UAT participation, and reporting to internal stakeholders, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process corporate inward and outward remittance transactions and cross‑border payments through interbank channels.
• Perform balance checks, signature verification and FX slip matching during processing.
• Handle day‑end reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare regulatory and operational reports for internal stakeholders and authorities.
• Provide admin and processing support across transaction areas as directed by supervisors.
• Assist in system enhancements including requirements gathering and UAT feedback.

Join a leading international bank in Hong Kong as a 12‑month Contract Officer in the Corporate Payment Operations team, focusing on end‑to‑end processing of corporate remittances and cross‑border payments across multiple interbank channels. This role suits a detail‑oriented payment operations professional who enjoys hands‑on processing, reconciliation and regulatory reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process corporate inward and outward remittance transactions, cross‑border payments and customer account transfers through various interbank payment systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform balance checking, signature verification and judgement on appropriate payment channels, and match foreign‑exchange dealer slips and related instructions during processing.
• Handle day‑end reconciliation to ensure all transactions are properly registered, balanced and completed on time without omission.
• Prepare regulatory and operational reports as required, supporting accurate and timely submissions to internal stakeholders and authorities.
• Provide administrative and processing support across different transaction areas as directed by supervisors, including cross‑department support and special operation‑related assignments.
• Participate in system enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering and user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide user feedback to improve payment operations efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Prior experience in remittance or payment operations within a banking environment is preferred.
• Strong team player with a customer‑oriented mindset, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to multitask, maintain high attention to detail and perform under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros and Alteryx will be an advantage for automation and reporting tasks
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are an advantage for local client and internal communication.
