Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments affecting cross-border digital platforms; translate findings into risk assessments for leadership
• Build and maintain global compliance frameworks covering AML, KYC, data privacy, and consumer protection
• Draft and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Support licensing applications/renewals for international operations; liaise with regulators, external counsel, and auditors
• Partner with Product, Operations, Tech, and Marketing to ensure platform features comply with cross-border requirements
• Run internal training on compliance, anti-fraud, and AML awareness

As they scale international operations, our client is looking for a legally trained, business-minded Compliance Manager to join their Hong Kong team. What You'll Do

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments affecting cross-border digital platforms and tech-driven consumer applications across markets such as the Americas, Europe, and Southeast Asia; translate findings into risk assessments for leadership
• Build and maintain global compliance frameworks covering AML, KYC, data privacy, and consumer protection
• Draft and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Support licensing applications and renewals for international operations, and act as the key liaison with regulators, external counsel, and auditors
• Partner with Product, Operations, Tech, and Marketing to keep platform features and campaigns aligned with cross-border regulatory requirements
• Run internal training on compliance, anti-fraud, and AML awareness

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Law degree from a recognized university, with a strong focus on international law (JD, LLM, or equivalent all welcome)
• Solid grounding in international legal principles and global compliance frameworks
• 3–5 years relevant experience; industry background in internet technology, FinTech, crypto/Web3, or cross-border e-commerce is a strong plus
• Strong analytical and legal research skills
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken); Cantonese an advantage
