Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a BI/Data Analytics internship in Hong Kong. The role focuses on gathering requirements, dashboard development, UAT, and training material preparation to support project implementations and user adoption.

The intern will work with data analytics tools (Power BI, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python) to deliver insights, validate data, and create management-ready reports. This is an internship for H1 2027 intake in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
  • Strong interest in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and digital solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with capacity to derive insights.

Job description

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct focus groups and consolidate business feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and business enhancement.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support solution design and implementation.
  • Assist in dashboard development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Prepare communication, launch, and training materials to support project implementation and user adoption.
  • Support Power BI dashboard enhancements and performance monitoring to improve reporting effectiveness and user experience.
  • Conduct data validation and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Prepare business insights, reports, and presentations for management review and decision‑making.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
  • Positive learning attitude with a strong interest in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and digital solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and identify actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality, accurate work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, or other data analytics and visualization tools is an asset.
  • Previous internship, project, academic, or extracurricular experience related to business analysis, data analytics, or digital solutions is an advantage.
