Job summary

Anchors Academy in Hong Kong seeks dedicated Primary School teachers for the 2026-27 academic year. You will engage in class teaching, develop curricula and resources, and support student development across language, STEAM and ICT initiatives.

The role requires a qualified teacher with HKED Bureau registration, a native English speaker, and at least two years of teaching experience. Leadership experience is a plus, and collaboration with staff, students and parents is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree holder with qualified teaching status (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE).
• Registered teacher with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
• Native English speaker proficient in English; bilingual proficiency is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Leadership experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage in class teaching and student development.

• Perform administrative tasks relating to teaching and learning, and student development.

Aim

To engage in class teaching, including the academic, administrative, educational, and student development aspects; to organise extra-curricular activities to ensure that the education of the learners is promoted properly.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

Teaching

• To engage in class teaching and student development.
• To develop the subject curriculum, and teaching and learning resources.

Administrative

• To perform or assist with administrative tasks relating to teaching and learning, and student development.
• To engage in the teacher appraisal processes to regularly review their professional practice to improve teaching, learning, and management.
• To contribute to the professional development of colleagues by sharing knowledge, ideas, and resources.
• To lead, develop, manage, organise, and conduct extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Qualities
