Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Equity Strategy professional to join the China-focused Equity Strategy team. The role involves conducting equity strategy research, drafting client-ready reports, and delivering long-term thematic insights along with near-term market commentary.

You will engage with clients through meetings, calls, and webcasts, contributing to top-tier research excellence. The ideal candidate demonstrates 5+ years in equity strategy, fluency in Mandarin and English, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of equity strategy research experience in a top-tier sell side or buy side firm.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (reading and writing).
• Experience with both the A-share market and the offshore China equity space is strongly preferred.
• Experience with quantitative, fundamental, thematic, and AI-enabled analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research equity strategy and draft reports on index price targets, sector allocation, top-down stock picking and portfolio construction.
• Analyze long-term thematic trends and near-term market commentary.
• Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative research based on equity market knowledge, earnings and valuation movements.
• Address client requests, including drafting communications and emails.
• Conduct live client interactions including in-person meetings, live calls, webcasts and ad-hoc interactions.
