Job summary

Tokalent in Hong Kong seeks a Head of Risk Management for Virtual Assets to lead risk governance for crypto trading and custody. You will design risk frameworks, supervise controls, and drive regulatory compliance across the organization.

The role requires deep crypto risk expertise, 5+ years in financial services, and strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams while communicating clearly with executives and board members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of risk management experience in crypto/financial services.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
• Familiarity with crypto exchange regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop policies for trading, custody, and operations risk.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Due diligence on new assets/projects against risk standards.
• Monitor market trends and report risk findings to management.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations.
• Manage relationships with external security and insurance providers.
• Engage in industry forums to stay updated on best practices.
