Job summary

First Point Group in Hong Kong seeks an executive Head of IT – Data Centres to shape and drive IT/OT strategy for a growing global portfolio. You will lead architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance while aligning with executives and partners to deliver operational excellence.

The role requires a proven track record in hyperscale infrastructure environments, strong governance, and the ability to scale enterprise IT functions across multiple sites. Immediate relocation in Hong Kong preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional IT leadership experience, with significant tenure in data centre environments or mission-critical tech.
• Proven executive track record leading IT and OT strategy, infrastructure design, and operations for data centres.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Extensive experience managing new data centre builds, greenfield deployments, and brownfield expansions.
• Exceptional organizational leadership, team-building, and executive communication capabilities.
• Strong financial acumen in managing technology budgets and vendor negotiations.
• Mandatory residency/work authorization: Ability to operate on-site in Hong Kong

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute comprehensive IT and OT strategic roadmaps for a fast-growing global data centre business.
• Lead end-to-end IT/OT architecture design, implementation, and technology integration for new data centre deployments.
• Own enterprise cybersecurity, infrastructure resilience, and continuous operational excellence across all regional facilities.
• Drive strict compliance frameworks and certifications including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related regulatory standards.
• Build, mentor, and lead a world-class IT engineering and operational function as the portfolio scales.
• Oversee mission-critical systems, network infrastructure, data centre management systems (DCIM), and operational telemetry.
• Collaborate proactively with executive management, construction teams, facility directors, and enterprise clients.
• Establish robust IT disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response protocols.
• Manage technology vendor relationships, enterprise software licensing, and departmental capital expenditure budgets.
• Author executive technology strategies, governance policies, and infrastructure auditing documentation.
