Job summary

Our client, a private equity firm with SFC 1, 4 and 9 licenses, in Central Hong Kong, seeks a CEO to head fund investment and overall operations. You will lead the portfolio, set strategic investment directions, and oversee end-to-end deal execution for strong returns.

Requirements include a finance-related degree (MBA/CFA/CPA/LLB a plus), 10+ years in fund investment management with CEO/MD level experience, and fluency in English, Putonghua, and Cantonese. A visionary leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, banking, accounting, economics, business or related studies. MBA/CFA/CPA/LLB are pluses.
• Over 10 years in fund investment management; last 5+ years at CEO/MD level heading a financial company.
• SFC RO 4 and 9 preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in technology/TMT/AI or emerging industries is an advantage.
• Family office or institutional equities/bonds portfolio management experience; fund investment exposure preferred.
• Track record in private equity, equity or bond fund raising, and successful takeovers/mergers.
• Strong leadership with vision and solid investment/management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English, Putonghua, and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• In charge of fund investment portfolio; set strategic depth in investment analysis and execute takeovers/mergers.
• Organize information gathering, analysis, and expansion of the investment project base; source and select projects.
• Handle equities, bonds, private equity, and secondary markets deal design, origination, research, assessment, and execution.
• Responsible for fund management of secondary market investments and portfolio management decisions.
• Focus on emerging industries such as technology, TMT, AI, digital hardware, and education; deal sourcing and selection.
• Set up offshore fund and build return records for third parties’ investments.
• Assist in deal execution: due diligence, financial modeling, legal negotiations, and investment memos.
• Liaise with SFC and related parties on license issues.

Requirements :

Has more than 10 years fund investment management solid experience in which the recent 5 years or above at CEO or Managing Director level heading a financial company

SFC RO 4 and 9 is preferred but not a must

Has investment or industry experience in technology or TMT or Artificial Intelligence (AI) or emerging industries is an added advantage

Possess family office or other institutions' equities and bonds investment portfolio management experience. Those has fund investment experience is preferred

Has private equity, equity fund or bond fund raising exposure, successful track records in take over and merger of investment projects

Great leadership, with vision and excellent investment and management power

Has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Capable to command fluent English, Putonghua and Cantonese

Duties :

In charge of the fund investment portfolio by setting strategic in depth investment analysis, source and in charge of the execution of take over and merger of investment projects, manage the whole investment process and achieve good returns

Organize the information gathering, analysis, building up and expand the investment project base, source and select the investment projects;

Handle properties, equities, bonds and private equity, secondary markets' deal design, origination, industries research and analysis, project assessment, deal execution and investment management

Responsible of the fund management of secondary market investment by proposing the investment decision to pick the stocks, bonds and fund and the portfolio management

Handle investment focus in emerging industry markets such as technology, TMT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital hardware, education, etc. Related analysis, deal sourcing and selection

Set up offshore fund and to build up the return records for third parties investment

Assist in deal execution including research and analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, legal negotiations and preparing investment memos

Liaise with SFC and related parties in license issues
