Job summary

BAH Partners in Hong Kong is seeking a C++ Engineer to design and develop high-performance systems supporting critical financial applications in a fast-paced environment.

You will build scalable, multithreaded, Linux-based solutions, tackle complex technical challenges and collaborate with regional teams to deliver software from design through production.

This hands-on role offers exposure to financial markets and a direct impact on the technology platform used across Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency and performance optimisation.
• Good understanding of systems programming, memory management and networking.
• Experience developing large-scale, distributed or performance-sensitive systems.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• Experience within financial services or financial markets is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to trading, market data, risk, pricing or investment systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance applications using C++
• Build scalable and reliable systems within a Linux environment
• Develop and enhance multithreaded and distributed applications
• Improve system performance, reliability and scalability
• Work across the full development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing and production
• Investigate complex technical and production issues and implement long-term solutions
