Job summary

Ace HR is seeking a seasoned C++ Developer for a MNC Bank in Hong Kong to work on cash equities SOR and algo engines. Daily coding in C++/Python, translating business requirements into robust designs, and collaborating with a regional, distributed team are key aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate will have 3–7+ years of C++ experience in trading platforms, with strong CS fundamentals and a good understanding of trading architecture. Equity trading exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of C++ experience in trading platforms.
• Equity trading knowledge is desirable.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OOD, data structures, algorithms.
• Understanding of trading platform architecture and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills.

Our client is a MNC Bank in Hong Kong. They are looking for a C++ Developer to work in their cash equities team for SOR, Algos, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support smart order routing, internalization and algo engines used throughout APAC and globally
• Every day coding in C++ and Python
• Work with the business to understand requirements and translate it into design
• Work effectively in a flat compact and regionally distributed multi-skilled team
• Take end-to-end responsibility for delivery: working with other IT teams to deliver solutions end to end, including testing, deployment and with Support teams to establish monitoring, etc.
• Be heavily involved in architectural design discussions to help shape the strategic direction of the platform

Experience

• 3-7+ years of experience in C++ development in trading platforms
• Equity trading highly desirable but not mandatory
• Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: objectoriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management
• Understanding of trading platform architecture and design best practices
• Understanding of financial services advantageous
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
• Excellent communications skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively
