Job summary

Jobtailor in Hong Kong is seeking a motivated Business Scientist to join our analytics and consulting team on international projects. You will work in teams of 3–6 scientists across 1–3 projects, combining data analysis, modelling and actionable insights for clients.

From discovery to final recommendations, you’ll present results to stakeholders, grow into project ownership, and receive training and mentoring with a clear path toward a Senior Business Scientist role within a fast-growing APAC

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in data analysis / modelling, preferably in a client-facing or consulting environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Business-level English; Asia languages are a plus.
• Team-oriented mindset with ownership and proactiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field
• Strong academic performance
• 2–3 years of experience in data analysis / modelling, preferably in a client‑facing or consulting environment
• Experience with R, Python, SQL or similar tools
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Interest in consulting and problem solving, and project delivery
• Exposure to project management or PMO‑related activities is a plus
• Strong interest in marketing and business topics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights for business stakeholders
• Business‑level English
• Additional Asia languages are a plus
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong ownership and proactiveness
• Self‑driven and eager to learn
