Job summary

Hip Hing Construction Company Limited, a main contractor in Hong Kong undertaking various types of building and civil engineering projects, is seeking a Quality Assurance/Architectural Coordination professional for its Hong Kong projects.

The role requires degree in Building Studies or Building Management, at least 3 years in the building construction industry, and familiarity with statutory requirements. Excellent communication in English and Chinese is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Studies or Building Management.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Familiar with statutory/license requirements (e.g., BFA, CoP Fire Safety).
• Proficient in English and Chinese and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality plans in architectural aspects.
• Advise and implement quality plans.
• Coordinate with Architect, Engineers and Consultants on details.
• Prepare master programme or short-term schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for shop drawings and method statements.
• Ensure progress reporting and submission schedules.

Job description

Monitor, advise, and implement Quality Plans in architectural aspects.

Implement documents and drawings control.

Coordinate and prepare master programme or short term working schedule.

Coordinate with the Architect, Engineers and Consultants for construction details.

Coordinate with sub-contractors for preparation of shop drawings and method statements.

Coordinate, identify and resolve potential architectural design issues and interfacing details with different trades.

Monitor site progress and coordinate with Site Agent for work sequences and material on site.

Prepare progress report and submission schedules.

Be familiar with statutory / license requirements, e.g. BFA, CoP Fire Safety in Buildings.

Coordinate and meet with client, architect, consultants for final inspection and as-built drawing submission.

Requirements

Degree in Building Studies / Building Management or equivalent.

3 years relevant working experience in Building Construction Industry.

Familiar with statutory / license requirements, e.g. BFA, CoP Fire Safety in Buildings.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiar with MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.

Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese.
