Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a well-established insurance organisation in Hong Kong to recruit a Lead Architect for cloud transformation. You will design, develop and maintain end-to-end applications across frontend, backend and cloud environments, shaping solution architecture and driving platform capabilities.

You will mentor developers, engage in SCRUM ceremonies, enforce coding standards and security controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years full-stack development; 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, Node.js, React, JavaScript & Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience with Azure databases, AKS and cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and version control systems.
• Good understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Alibaba Cloud, PolarDB or AI-related technologies would be advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of application performance tuning and software quality practices.
• Proven ability to mentor developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end applications across frontend, backend and cloud environments
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions
• Lead development and delivery of new features, enhancements and platform capabilities
• Perform code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues with business and tech teams
• Implement security controls including authentication, authorisation, encryption and risk mitigation
• Produce high-quality, scalable and well-documented code following standards
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure quality and timelines
• Support Agile ceremonies and SCRUM-based project delivery
• Assist in production support and incident resolution
• Drive continuous improvement across development, deployment and operations
