East West Bank in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior BSA Analyst – AML/CFT Compliance (Advisory) to join our BSA team. This role focuses on providing day-to-day AML/CFT guidance and updating policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.

You will conduct CDD reviews, perform risk assessments, and prepare MIS reports for senior management. Strong English and Chinese skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of BSA (AML/CFT) experience in banking, Private Banking/Private Equity preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) is essential.
  • Familiar with BSA/AML laws and regulations in HK; US knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to business/support units on day-to-day AML/CFT matters
  • Prepare and update AML/CFT policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and Bank’s risk appetite
  • Conduct CDD reviews (onboarding, periodic, trigger events) with higher ML/TF risk
  • Perform institutional risk assessments per the framework
  • Prepare AML/CFT training and MIS reports for senior management/Head Office oversight
  • Additional duties such as Compliance Assurance Review or model calibration as assigned

Overview

East West Bank is currently seeking a Senior Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst – AML/CFT Compliance (Advisory) for our BSA team (i.e. AML/CFT Compliance).

Responsibilities
  • Provide advice to business/support units on day-to-day AML/CFT matters
  • Prepare and update the AML/CFT policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Conduct CDD review (e.g. onboarding, periodic, and trigger event) which presents higher ML/TF risk
  • Conduct institutional risk assessment in accordance with the framework
  • Prepare and conduct AML/CFT training
  • Prepare MIS report / materials for senior management / Head Office’s oversight
  • Additional duties as assigned (e.g. Compliance Assurance Review, CRA model’s calibration, etc)
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of BSA (AML/CFT Compliance) experience in banking industry with Private Banking and/ or Private Equity preferred.
  • Sounds knowledge in AML/CFT advisory role and CDD review, project experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strength for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Service oriented with sense of urgency, strong reasoning and analytical skills.
  • PC literate Windows/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or low is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Familiar with BSA/AML relevant law and regulations in Hong Kong, US is a plus.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is essential for this role.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g. AAMLP / CAMLP) under the ECF on AML/CFT or CAMS certification is advantage.
