Job summary

AMEC in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Lecturer to lead the design and delivery of aviation and maritime training programmes. You will oversee curriculum development, assessment materials, and industry-aligned projects, ensuring high quality education.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive industry networks, and proficiency in English and Putonghua. Applicants with professional licences and relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Aviation Engineering or equivalent.
• Post-graduate qualification or recognised professional qualifications such as an Aircraft Maintenance Licence or Airline Transport Pilot Licence.
• Good networking and liaison skills to establish connections with industry partners and government departments.
• Preferably with knowledge and practical experience in procurement procedures, tender administration, contract management and budget control.

Responsibilities

• To provide academic leadership in planning, design, and development of training programmes, curricula, and related assessment materials for AMEC.
• To manage day-to-day operations of AMEC, including planning, setup, and delivery of training activities, ensuring facilities and resources are fit for purpose.
• To lead strategic development of AMEC’s training facilities and equipment, advising on acquisition, procurement, and commissioning of new assets.
• To build relationships with aviation industry, professional bodies, government departments, and stakeholders for collaborations including industrial attachments and student projects.
• To develop and review operational policies for the unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality and safety standards.
• To contribute to the Discipline’s strategic development, exploring new training needs and continuing and professional education programmes.
