Job summary

ALL-STAR AGENCY in Hong Kong is seeking an Associate – Transaction Processing & Account Services to support day-to-day cheque, FPS and related payment processing, plus deposit and account-maintenance tasks in a fast-paced back-office environment.

The role requires 4 years’ banking operations experience, proficiency in cheque/FPS handling, and familiarity with HKMA AML rules. You will work with Excel/VB and collaborate with teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ relevant experience in clearing, payments or deposits operations within a banking environment.
• Hands-on experience in cheque and FPS handling.
• Familiarity with HKMA AML requirements on account-transaction monitoring.
• Understanding of Hong Kong clearing-house rules and practices.
• Good command of English and Chinese; strong PC skills (Excel, VB).

Responsibilities

• Handle daily transaction-processing activities, including cheque deposits and clearing, FPS, Autopay and Direct Debits.
• Monitor and reconcile cheque, FPS and Autopay transactions with system records.
• Assist in preparing suspicious transaction reports for AML compliance and related internal reports.
• Provide operational support on deposits and account-maintenance tasks.
• Participate in system-related work, user testing, and documentation for new features.
• Take part in drills and contingency rehearsals to ensure operational readiness.

Join a leading international bank in Hong Kong as an Associate – Transaction Processing & Account Services, focusing on day‑to‑day cheque, FPS and related payment processing, as well as deposit and account‑maintenance support. This role suits a hands‑on banking operations professional who is detail‑minded and comfortable working in a control‑focused, fast‑paced back‑office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily transaction‑processing activities, including cheque deposits and clearing, batch cheque issuance, FPS, Autopay and Direct Debits, ensuring accuracy and timely completion in line with internal, industry and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile cheque, FPS and Autopay transactions, ensuring items are properly processed, balanced and matched to system records.
• Assist in preparing suspicious transaction reports for AML compliance, and support the preparation of related internal reports and banking returns.
• Provide operational support on deposits and account‑maintenance tasks (e.g. account updates, status changes, documentation checks) to help maintain efficient, high‑quality service.
• Participate in system‑related work for the team, including user testing, documentation and implementation support for new features or enhancements, as well as other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Take part in regular drills and contingency rehearsals (e.g. HKICL disaster recovery exercises) and follow established procedures to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• Matriculated or above; Diploma or Degree holder preferred.
• Around 4 years’ relevant experience in clearing, payments or deposits operations within a banking environments.
• Hands‑on experience in cheque and FPS handling and familiarity with HKMA AML requirements on account‑transaction monitoring.
• Practical understanding of Hong Kong clearing‑house rules and practices.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with solid PC skills (e.g. Excel, VB).
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to work under time pressure while maintaining high accuracy and good teamwork.
