Job summary

Optimum Media Direction in Hong Kong is seeking a proactive media planner/buyer to translate strategy into concrete media plans and recommendations. You will work closely with the Business Director and clients to ensure plans are clear, coherent, and impactful.

The role requires a university degree in business, marketing, advertising, or a related field, and 2–4 years of media planning/buying experience. You are well organized, numerate, fluent in English and Chinese, and proficient with Word,

Responsibilities

• Working with the Business Director and client to create clear and coherent plans that bring the media strategy to life.
• In-depth assessment of candidate media options and detailed recommendation of proposed communication solutions.
• Collaborate with the Business Director to translate strategy into plan.
• Assess and recommend creative media initiatives that add depth and impact to the media plan.
• Implement agreed initiatives, including briefing third parties as required.
• Manage the implementational process and client relationships.
• Assist the team in developing and implementing an integrated on/off advertising campaign.
• Support competitive data generation, analysis and presentation.
• Prepare evaluation of media opportunities and track market trends using industry tools.
• Prepare media plan, budget summary and campaign follow up.
• Participate in brainstorming for big ideas and consumer insights.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with industry partners.

• In-depth assessment of all candidate media options and detailed recommendation of proposed communication solutions.
• Working closely with the Business Director in your team to ensure smooth and relevant translation from strategy to plan.
• Assess, identify and recommend creative media initiatives that deliver greater strategy depth and impact to the media plan.
• Undertake the implementation of agreed initiatives, including the briefing of third parties, as and when required.
• Management of the implementational process and client relationship management.
• Assist the team in developing and implementing an integrated on/off advertising campaign.
• Help on competitive data generation, analysis and presentation.
• Prepare evaluation of media opportunities, keep tracks of market trends by using industry tools and other research method.
• Prepare media plan, budget summary and campaign follow up.
• Actively participate in brain-storming for big ideas and consumer insights.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with industry partners.

Job Requirements

• University degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of media planning / buying experience.
• Must be well organized and have strong quantitative/analytical skills.
• Able to build relationship internally and externally.

• Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail.
• Passionate about building a career in advertising field.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese is a must.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
