Job summary

The University of Hong Kong's School of Governance and Policy invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in International Governance of Frontier Technologies (Ref.: 537338). The appointment is three years with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

The appointee will teach postgraduate courses in international relations, global governance, and public policy; conduct rigorous empirical research;

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in economics, public policy, politics, or a closely related field; JD in international or administrative law is also acceptable.
• Proven track record or strong potential for research excellence, scholarly publications, and external funding.
• Experience in teaching and supervising postgraduate students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses offered in postgraduate programmes related to international relations, global governance, and/or public policy.
• Contribute actively to research and knowledge exchange, and participate in programme development at postgraduate level.
• Fulfill service and administrative responsibilities as appropriate.
