Job summary

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong invites applications for a senior legal role. The successful candidate will assist the Privacy Commissioner, oversee the handling of complaints and investigations, and represent the PCPD at seminars and public engagements.

Candidates should hold a good Bachelor's degree, a legal qualification, and at least 10 years post-qualification experience. Proficiency in English and Chinese is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in Hong Kong or a common law jurisdiction.
Legal qualification (solicitor or barrister) with substantial post-qualification experience.
Excellent command of English and Chinese (Putonghua included).
Experience in criminal prosecution or public administration at senior level preferred.
Familiarity with personal data privacy work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assist the Privacy Commissioner in statutory duties and supervise divisions.
Liaise with law enforcement agencies for advice and cooperation in investigations.
Represent PCPD at seminars, conferences, and public engagements on privacy matters.
