Job summary

AJA O-Power Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Mechanical/Process Engineer to support the Maintenance Team in executing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and addition & alteration works at industrial facilities. You will ensure accurate CMMS records and help maintain statutory certificates.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field, 1–3 years of relevant plant experience, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience in design, build, operation or maintenance of industrial treatment plants.
• Experience in Organic Waste Treatment Facilities or EPD projects is a plus.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance team in preventive, corrective, and A&A works.
• Maintain records using the CMMS.
• Ensure statutory compliance records up to date (LALG forms, boiler & pressure vessel certificates); familiarity with NGIs is a plus.
• Prepare RAMS, SOPs, work plans and technical procedures.
• Oversee and manage on-site subcontracted works and contractor arrangements.
• Coordinate procurement of spare parts, equipment and materials.
• Report to the Senior Engineer / Maintenance Manager and perform assigned tasks.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as required by line management.

Key Tasks

• Support the Maintenance Team in executing comprehensive plant maintenance tasks, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Ensure statutory compliance records are up to date (including LALG Forms and boiler & pressure vessel certificates); familiarity with Notifiable Gas Installations (NGIs) is a strong advantage
• Prepare technical and operational documents, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work plans, technical procedures
• Oversee and manage subcontracted works on-site, including contractor arrangement, planning, and execution monitoring
• Handle/ Coordinate the procurement of spare parts, specialized equipment, and engineering materials
• Report directly to the Senior Engineer / Maintenance Manager and carry out assigned engineering tasks
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required by line management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 1 to 3 years of engineering experience in the design, build, operation, or maintenance of industrial treatment plants (e.g., solid/food waste processing or sewage treatment facilities)
• Working experience in Organic Waste Treatment Facilities or other EPD projects/facilities in Hong Kong is a distinct advantage
• Strong safety awareness, ability to work effectively under pressure, and good problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for the position of Mechanical Engineer.
