Job summary

CBRE Limited is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and workforce development across facilities. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and drive improvements in preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience (Bachelor's preferred) and strong leadership, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive information and convey performance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees; monitor training and development; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; establish work schedules and cross-train staff.
• Set and track deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
• Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities; assist in operating and capital budgets.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs; maintain building maintenance and safety procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance with contractors and tenants; oversee building systems (fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical).
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, facility management, and vendors; facilitate new contracts and maintain as-built drawings.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns; lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
