Job summary

Ocean Park Corporation seeks an Education & Outreach Manager to oversee funding projects and environmental education programmes for the Park. You will lead the Outbound Student Internship Programme, guiding student groups for a minimum three-week stay in the Chinese Mainland during summer, and design teacher training initiatives to empower educators with practical knowledge and resources.

• At least 3 years of working experience in education, environmental or related fields.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible to manage funding projects and develop environmental education programmes addressing up-to-trend environmental issues to support the Park’s mission. He/She will lead the Outbound Student Internship Programme, including leading and accompanying student groups for a minimum stay of 3 weeks in the Chinese Mainland during the summer period. He/She will also lead and develop teacher training programmes, equipping educators with the knowledge, skills and resources to deliver environmental and nature-related learning in schools, as well as establish and maintain networks with schools and other organizations, and perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Biology, Ecology, Education, Environmental Science or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of working experience in education, environmental or related fields
• Experience and knowledge in outbound tour escort, ecotourism, project management, conservation and biodiversity would be an advantage
• Experience in curriculum design, teacher training or professional development for educators would be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a high sense of responsibility
• Able to travel to and stay in the Chinese Mainland for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks during summer to lead the Student Internship Programme
• Able to work under pressure and enjoy teamwork
• Proficient in MS office
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Willing to work outdoor, weekends and public holidays
