Job summary

S&P Global Market Intelligence in Hong Kong is seeking a Reporter for Asia Pacific investors to deliver exclusive, forward-looking coverage across asset management and private markets. You will pitch and write trend stories, build sources across allocators, consultants and service providers, and contribute to thought leadership and events.

With 3+ years in financial services reporting or editing, you’ll speak English and Japanese, develop market expertise in private equity and hedge funds, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience covering financial services, asset management or private markets in reporting/editing roles.
• Business level Japanese and English language skills.
• Experience covering LPs and knowledge of private equity, private credit or alternatives is preferred.
• Proven ability to generate exclusive stories and build a strong network of industry contacts.
• Strong interviewing, source-development and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to explain complex market developments clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistent pipeline of exclusive, off-diary reporting on allocator activity across Asia-Pacific.
• Produce proprietary, forward-looking and actionable intelligence for subscribers.
• Identify emerging trends, market developments and competitive dynamics for deeper coverage.
• Pitch and write insightful trend stories and long-form analyses.
• Mentor and collaborate with regional and global editorial teams.
