Freshfields is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the Asia Dispute Resolution practice. This role thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and involves building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Asia and the global network.

You will work with partners and colleagues across Marketing & Business Development, brand, communications, events and research to identify opportunities, deepen client relationships and raise the practice's profile.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education and substantial marketing or business development experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong emotional intelligence, independent thinking, professional judgement and confidence advising senior stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and CRM systems; Salesforce experience is advantageous.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
• Strong project management skills, with the resilience to manage multiple deadlines, shifting priorities and pressure.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with strong copywriting, grammar and proofreading ability.
• Visual creativity and design aptitude would be a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage compelling proposals, pitches, RFP responses and other opportunities to win work, often to tight deadlines.
• Manage practice content, campaigns, events, directory submissions and awards to support client engagement and strengthen the firm’s profile.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and MBD colleagues, contributing to a collaborative global team mindset.
• Develop and execute focused marketing and business development strategies to strengthen client relationships, target new work and build the practice’s reputation.
• Use technology, including AI tools, Salesforce and firmwide platforms, to analyse trends, identify opportunities and measure impact.
• Line manage a Senior Business Development Executive supporting the Asia Dispute Resolution practice.
