Job summary

Arasu seeks an Architectural Drafter in Hong Kong to prepare detailed drawings and support project design and execution. You will draft architectural and structural plans using AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks, producing shop and as-built drawings and construction documents for timely submission.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction, strong CAD skills, and the ability to read complex drawings. Familiarity with BIM is a plus; a diploma/degree in architecture or civil engineering is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of construction industry experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks.
• Experience with shop drawings, as-built drawings, and structural drafting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and revise architectural and structural drawings using AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks.
• Produce accurate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation.
• Develop detailed door, window, and façade drawings based on project specifications.
• Assist engineers and architects in structural design drafting and technical detailing.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and timely submission.
• Review drawings for compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Perform drawing revisions and updates based on site conditions and feedback.
• Maintain documentation control and version tracking of all drawings.
• Support project planning by preparing layout drawings and material take-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, develop, and revise detailed architectural and structural drawings using AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks

• Coordinate closely with project managers, consultants, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and timely submission
• Review drawings for compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards

• Support project planning by preparing layout drawings and material take-offs where required

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks is mandatory
• Strong experience in shop drawings, as-built drawings, and structural drafting
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and technical detailing
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering and architectural drawings
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BIM or other 3D modeling tools is an advantage
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and submission requirements
