Societe Generale APAC seeks an APAC Regional Sanctions Compliance Officer to support the Regional Head of Sanctions and ensure SG Group compliance with sanctions laws and internal policies. You will provide timely advisory support to business lines and support functions and contribute to the implementation of SG's sanctions framework.

You will participate in training, reporting and enhancements of S&E controls, focusing on EU/US/HK regimes, and collaborate with FCU, KYC, AML teams across regions

Qualifications

• Substantial years of relevant experience in Sanctions Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance, or related risk/control functions within financial institutions.
• Solid knowledge of EU/US/UN/HK sanctions regimes and regulatory trends.
• Good understanding of KYC, CDD/EDD requirements and their intersection with sanctions risks.

Responsabilités

• Provide sanctions compliance opinions for proposed transactions and onboarding, including trade finance and syndicated loans.
• Advise on inclusion of sanctions-related clauses in legal documentation.
• Timely clearance of sanctions alerts and screening results.
• Escalate complex cases to Group Sanctions Compliance when needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sanctions regimes across regions (EU/US/UN/HK).
