Job summary

The Financial Times is seeking a technically strong qualified accountant to lead financial control, reporting and compliance for its Hong Kong and Singapore entities. You will collaborate with regional finance teams to drive process improvements and ensure robust internal controls.

The role partners with local and Manila-based accounting services, supports tax and treasury, and enables expansion of Asia-based operations while sustaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS and internal controls knowledge.
• Experience in multinational setting and statutory accounts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial activities for FT HK/Singapore entities.
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.
• Prepare operating plans and forecasts; analyse variance to improve performance.
• Manage treasury and cash flow for HK and SG entities; support funding needs.
• Support tax compliance and transfer pricing arrangements; liaise with tax teams.
• Provide financial insights to support regional initiatives and planning.
