Job summary

Point72 is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for APAC based in Hong Kong. You will support the Head of Legal for APAC, advise on corporate law, draft and negotiate contracts, manage governance, and oversee local employment matters and immigration for APAC offices.

You will handle regulatory matters affecting APAC offices, liaise with external counsel, review letters and investor representations, provide guidance on data protection, and keep the team updated on new laws and guidelines.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to succinctly summarize complex issues for internal clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills, being relationship-oriented and able to work with local and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Legal, APAC, in all matters pertaining to the APAC region.
• Advise on general corporate law, draft, review and negotiate contracts, and manage governance including local filings and board meetings.
• Assist HR and employment Legal team on APAC employment and immigration matters, reviewing employment contracts for APAC offices.
• Advise on regulatory matters affecting APAC offices (SFC, MAS, FSA) and liaise with external counsel where needed.
• Review placement letters, confidentiality agreements, and investor representation letters for ECM and other desks.
• Provide ad-hoc advice on data protection and other legal matters for APAC offices and coordinate external counsel.
