Job summary

Binance is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to build and optimize high-performance Android apps for risk control and identity verification. You will deploy on-device AI models, work with cross-functional teams to create hybrid frameworks, and implement on-device inference pipelines, including camera capture and real-time video processing.

The role emphasizes strong Kotlin/Java expertise, Android architecture design, and familiarity with Jetpack, OkHttp, and cross-platform tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building Android apps from scratch.
• Proven experience deploying on-device AI models on Android (face recognition, liveness).
• Experience with video processing and real-time frame handling on Android.
• Familiarity with Jetpack, OkHttp, and related frameworks.
• Knowledge of cross-platform technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React; JNI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize high-performance Android applications for risk control and identity verification products;
• Integrate and optimize on-device AI models — deploy lightweight face recognition / liveness detection models running locally on Android;
• Develop Android client-side libraries and frameworks to speed up development and improve code quality;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build hybrid frameworks and on-device inference pipelines;
• Implement user action recognition flows: camera capture, on-device preprocessing, backend API calls;
• Handle video processing on Android — real-time frame processing, camera stream management;

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building Android applications from scratch, high proficiency with Kotlin/Java;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience with on-device / local AI model deployment on Android — integrating lightweight ML models (face recognition, liveness detection, action recognition) with optimized inference;
• Experience with video processing on Android — camera capture, real-time frame processing, video stream handling;
• Familiarity with face recognition / computer vision product development — face detection, liveness, anti-spoofing workflows;
• Proven experience in Android development, including architecture design, Jetpack, OkHttp, and related frameworks;
• Familiarity with cross-platform technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React; knowledge of C++ and JNI is a plus;
