Job summary

Chinese International School in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist to support the Data Architect and Data Analyst across Student Information, LMS, Advancement, Alumni Relations, Admissions and business systems. The role involves daily database operations, system integration, and documentation.

You will liaise with end users to identify school-wide needs, provide training, and help implement scalable data solutions while working with IT teams on project delivery.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Industry databases and programming languages certification/s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage database systems in daily operations and serve as a consultant responsible for analyzing, planning, developing, implementing, administering, documenting, and providing training on systems solutions.
• Create detailed documentation for applications, including technical designs and user guides.

• Reporting to the Director of Operations / Deputy Director of Operations, support and assist the Data Architect and the Data Analyst in data management for the School’s systems, including Student Information, Learning Management, Advancement (Fundraising), Alumni Relations, Admissions, Business systems, etc.
• Act as the point of contact and liaise with end users to identify school-wide business, web, educational, and technical solutions.

Requirements:

Education

• University degree in a relevant field
• Industry databases and programming languages certification/s preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant experience managing and administering databases
• Educational environment experience, and preferably with exposure to Educational Administration needs
• PowerSchool, Salesforce, and SQL experience will be an advantage

Skills

• Strong proficiency in database systems and applications
• Strong proficiency with SQL, PHP, R/Python, and similar technologies
• Fluent in English and Cantonese or Mandarin
• Desire to learn new technologies and skills in a rapidly changing environment
