Job summary

WeLab is seeking an experienced AML/RegTech leader to drive advisory and technology transformation for its digital bank platforms. You will oversee regulatory compliance programs, AML system enhancements, and data-driven controls to strengthen financial crime defenses.

The role requires extensive experience in AML, FCC, risk or compliance transformation, with a focus on scalable RegTech solutions and cross-functional collaboration across technology, operations and external vendors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years (Manager) / 10+ years (Senior Manager) experience in AML, FCC, Risk or Compliance Transformation.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, customer due diligence and financial crime risk management.
• Experience in AML system implementation, enhancement or tuning projects.
• Familiarity with AML and Anti-Fraud platforms is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical and project management skills.
• ACAMS, ICA, CAMLP or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud and CDD advisory support to business and operational units.
• Lead AML system enhancement and transformation projects, potentially for new product launches, including Fraud Monitoring, Transaction Monitoring, Name and Payment Screening, Customer Risk Assessment and KYC solutions.
• Translate regulatory requirements into business and system requirements.
• Manage project delivery, UAT, regression testing and implementation activities.
• Conduct threshold tuning, effectiveness reviews and optimization of AML controls.
• Partner with Technology, Data Analytics, Operations and external vendors to deliver RegTech initiatives.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits and management reporting.
• Drive automation, AI and data analytics initiatives to improve compliance effectiveness and efficiency.
