Job summary

KOS International Limited is recruiting an AI/Backend Engineer in Hong Kong to transform real-world challenges into scalable AI systems. You will design, develop, and deploy AI/LLM-driven applications from concept to production, creating AI agents that integrate RAG, vector data, and tool calls.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and performance of deployed AI systems, with hands-on experiments and benchmarking to guide strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in AI, software engineering, or backend development.
• Strong passion for AI and up-to-date AI tech.
• Proficient in Python with API/backend experience.
• Proven collaboration with stakeholders on AI-powered solutions; real estate sector experience is a plus.
• Familiar with RAG pipelines, vector databases, SQL, and structured data integration; Docker, Git required.
• Knowledge of data modeling for AI agents; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or multi-step workflows is a bonus.
• Knowledge of evaluation, tracing, or LLM observability tools preferred.

• Conduct technical experiments and proofs of concept to assess new AI frameworks, models, and architectures.
• Provide technical insights to ongoing AI strategy discussions through hands-on experimentation and benchmarking.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, or related
• 3-5 years of experience in AI, software engineering, or backend development.
• A strong passion for AI, along with a solid grasp of the latest advancements in AI technologies.
• Proficient in Python with experience in building APIs or backend services.
• Proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders to design and implement AI-powered solutions, particularly in generative and agentic AI; experience in the real estate sector is advantageous.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, SQL, and structured data integration; experience with tool/function calling workflows, Docker, Git, and current deployment practices is required.
• Basic knowledge of data modeling concepts pertinent to AI agents.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to articulate technical trade-offs effectively.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or multi-step workflows is a bonus.
• Knowledge of evaluation, tracing, or LLM observability tools is preferred.
