Job summary

ORNA Robotics in Hong Kong is seeking a talented software and AI engineer to design and implement the software powering our industrial robots. You will work closely with cross-functional R&D teams to integrate AI, including Vision-Language-Action models, into scalable automation platforms.

You will collaborate with the Shenzhen R&D team to prototype, test, and refine perception, motion planning, and control systems, ensuring robust performance in factory environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on robotics project leadership or competition experience.
• Strong AI and vision expertise with VLA models and 3D perception pipelines.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python under Linux with ROS 2 (Humble/Iron).
• Experience with 3D perception tools like RealSense or Zivid; PCL/OpenCV.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core robotic software stack using ROS 2.
• Design 3D vision algorithms and VLA models for automated picking, sorting, and assembly.
• Optimize motion planning and execution for reliability in industry.
• Collaborate with Shenzhen R&D team to prototype and test hardware integrations.
