Job summary

Robert Half Hong Kong Limited is seeking an AI Engineering Lead/Manager in Hong Kong to lead a team of AI and Data engineers and drive adoption of the in-house AI platform across the enterprise. The role covers the full AI lifecycle, including RAG, model evaluations, prompt engineering and MLOps.

Strong Python expertise and experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch are essential, along with fluency in English and Mandarin.

Job description

This role is an AI Engineering Lead / Manager responsible for managing a team of AI and Data engineers, driving enterprise-wide adoption of an in-house AI platform, and overseeing the full AI lifecycle (RAG, model evaluations, prompt engineering, and MLOps). It requires 5+ years in AI/ML engineering (2+ leading teams), deep Python and LLM application expertise, and fluency in English and Mandarin (Cantonese preferred).

The Role

• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of the in-house AI platform where impactful.
• Manage the AI engineering lifecycle, from development to production and ongoing optimization.
• Pilot emerging AI technologies to enable new product services and maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead a team of AI and Data engineers, fostering best practices in AI Applications, Model Evaluations, Prompt Engineering, RAG and MLOps.
• Optimize infrastructure investments to balance performance, scale, and cost.
• Align AI capabilities with business strategy through close cross-functional partnership.
• Proactively review & address AI model performance, latency, and data quality to ensure system health.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, DevOps, or MLOps, with 2+ years in a team lead or management capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Deep expertise in building production-grade AI applications powered by foundation LLM models.
• Practical experience with vibe coding workflows, observability stacks, and ML orchestration
  platforms, along with strong open-source governance skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English; fluency in Cantonese is a strong plus.
