Role Description

The AI Frontier Technology Researcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR. This role involves designing and conducting research on cutting-edge AI methods, with a focus on areas such as pattern recognition, advanced data analysis, and applied machine learning. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and testing models, analyzing large datasets, applying statistical techniques, and documenting findings for internal and external stakeholders. The researcher will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research outcomes into practical solutions, support thought leadership initiatives, and stay current with the latest academic and industry developments in AI and digital services. The position also includes presenting research results, contributing to publications or technical reports, and advising on the feasibility of new AI-driven products or services.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Expertise in Pattern Recognition and Data Science, with experience in machine learning, model development, and data-driven problem solving.
• Proficiency in Research and Statistics, including experimental design, statistical modeling, and rigorous evaluation of results.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, R) and relevant libraries or frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, in written reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple research initiatives in parallel.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with trends in digital services, cloud-based architectures, and AI ethics or responsible AI practices is a plus.
