Job summary

Knight Frank Greater China is seeking an AI Engineer to collaborate with development and research teams to evaluate, develop and refine AI models and workflows. The role focuses on delivering AI solutions in an agile manner to improve business processes and support innovation.

You will identify AI/GenAI use cases, design and deploy NLP models, and ensure scalable, secure AI-enabled services, working with cross-functional teams to meet measurable success criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related discipline with focus on AI engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in software/data/ML/AI engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience developing AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of ML/DL concepts and data structures.
• Experience with NLP, LLMs, prompt engineering and RAG/document intelligence.

Job description

The role will also collaborate with development and research teams to evaluate, develop and refine new models, algorithms and AI workflows, while delivering data science and AI solutions in an agile manner to improve business processes and support innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and prioritize AI and GenAI use cases that can improve business performance, operational efficiency and client service
• Design, build and deploy AI applications, including NLP models, LLM-powered workflows, retrieval-augmented generation solutions and intelligent automation tools
• Develop and maintain scalable, secure and reliable AI-enabled corporate systems and services
• Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define project scope, technical requirements and measurable success criteria
• Collaborate with software engineering, research and data teams to develop, test and optimize new models and algorithms
• Monitor model performance, data quality and system reliability, and continuously improve solutions for accuracy, scalability and business value
• Keep up to date with developments in AI, machine learning, deep learning, NLP and generative AI, and recommend practical applications for the business.
• Ensure AI solutions are implemented responsibly, with attention to governance, data security and enterprise standards

Qualifications

• Have excellent communication skills, be able to work with non-AI staff to understand their business operations and develop AI and Generative AI solutions to improve work productivity
• Good command of Chinese and English
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related discipline, ideally with a strong focus on AI engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, AI engineering or a similar role
• Hands‑on experience developing and implementing AI and Generative AI solutions, with a strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning techniques
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles
• Experience with NLP, large language models, prompt engineering and ideally retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or document intelligence solutions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, GCP or Azure, including deploying production‑grade AI solutions.
• Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications, APIs or web-based environments
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative and practical AI solutions
