Job summary

Schonfeld is offering an AI Forward Deployed Engineer Intern role in Hong Kong for a 10-week summer program in 2027. You will rotate across portfolio manager and strategy teams, building AI-powered workflows and tools used by the desks, and contribute to the core AI platform with data, memory, architecture, and interfaces.

You'll work closely with PMs, engineers, and a dedicated mentor, gaining hands-on experience in AI research, trading tools, and deployment within a fast-paced hedge fund

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering or another quantitative field.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, and comfort working with APIs, data pipelines and production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and an active portfolio or GitHub is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rotate with PM and strategy teams to identify bottlenecks and ship AI agents and workflows.
• Build AI-assisted research and trading tools from data ingestion to usable PM tools.
• Contribute to data pipelines, memory, architecture, model intelligence and interfaces in the AI platform.
