Job summary

Intact Lab in Hong Kong is seeking a Data Scientist to develop innovative ML solutions that address business challenges. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, actuaries, and designers to turn data into actionable insights.

You will contribute to the AI roadmap for a leading insurer, applying supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques, while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, creativity, and impact.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, AI, CS) or related field.
• MSc and/or PhD are assets.
• Internship or prior experience in data science, ML and statistics solving business problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative ML solutions to solve business problems.
• Influence the AI roadmap for a leading P&C insurer in Canada and HK.
• Keep pace with new ML approaches and apply them to real problems.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team across data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business and design.
• Share knowledge with interns and other data scientists to grow as a team.
• Maintain work-life balance while delivering impact.
