Job summary

Intact Lab in Hong Kong is seeking a Data Scientist to help build AI and ML solutions for a leading insurance provider. You will work on innovative models, campaigns, and analytics to address real business challenges in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will join a multidisciplinary team including data scientists, software engineers, actuarial scientists and designers, sharing knowledge with interns and fellow data scientists while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, science, engineering, statistics, AI, computer science or related field.
• MSc and/or PhD are an asset.
• Internship or prior experience in data science, ML and statistics solving business problems.
• Programming in Python or R and knowledge of software engineering best practice.
• Familiar with supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning.
• Collaborative teammate with curiosity and communication skills.
• Ability to tackle vaguely defined issues with creative approaches.
• Strong communication, time management and work organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML solutions to solve business problems.
• Influence the AI roadmap of the insurer.
• Stay current with AI trends and apply them in solutions.
• Collaborate with data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business and design teams.
• Share knowledge with interns and other data scientists.
