Job summary

APJ Software (HK) Company Limited is seeking an experienced AI Architect in Hong Kong to define enterprise AI architecture, drive reference architectures, and lead integration across cloud platforms and data pipelines.

You will guide teams on AI governance, security, and compliance while mentoring engineers and shaping roadmaps for LLM, RAG, and intelligent automation initiatives. The role emphasizes hands-on delivery and architectural leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing and implementing AI or ML solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise AI architecture principles, standards, design patterns, and review frameworks.
• Lead AI platform and model selection activities, evaluating technologies based on business, technical, security, and operational requirements.
• Design and maintain reusable AI reference architectures and implementation frameworks.
• Translate business objectives into AI roadmaps, solution strategies, and investment recommendations.
• Provide architectural leadership for AI initiatives involving LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, and intelligent automation.
• Establish governance frameworks and architecture review processes for Responsible AI and compliance standards.
• Design end-to-end AI solutions integrating cloud platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, and business processes.
• Architect scalable and performant AI systems leveraging cloud-native technologies.
• Lead integration design involving APIs, enterprise services, data pipelines, vector databases, and knowledge platforms.
• Ensure observability, monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence across AI deployments.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and architecture oversight to development and engineering teams.
• Facilitate architecture review boards, design workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Promote CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices across teams.
• Lead troubleshooting, issue resolution, performance optimisation, and risk mitigation.

• Define and maintain enterprise AI architecture principles, standards, design patterns, and review frameworks.

• Establish and enforce Responsible AI practices, governance frameworks, and architecture review processes.

• Define architecture controls, risk management approaches, and compliance standards for AI systems.

Solution Design & Integration

• Design end-to-end AI solutions integrating cloud platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, and business processes.
• Architect scalable and performant AI systems leveraging modern cloud-native technologies.
• Lead integration design involving APIs, enterprise services, data pipelines, vector databases, and knowledge platforms.
• Ensure observability, monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence across AI deployments.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and architecture oversight to development and engineering teams.
• Facilitate architecture review boards, design workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.
• Lead troubleshooting, issue resolution, performance optimisation, and technical risk mitigation activities.

Hands-on Delivery

• Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and reference implementations to validate solution approaches.
• Support hands-on implementation, testing automation, and production readiness activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure successful solution delivery.
