Job summary

Cloudnav Ai in Hong Kong seeks researchers to design and implement navigation algorithms for a drone logistics system. You will work on real-time image processing, object detection, and scene understanding, plus multimodal interaction using Vision-Language Models for intuitive UI control.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s/PhD in CS/AI/Robotics, with strong software engineering background and hands-on experience in OpenCV, PyTorch, Unity, or Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS, AI, robotics or related field.
• Final year PhDs welcome.
• Experience at top global institutions preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Design, develop, and optimise navigation and related algorithms for an advanced drone logistics system.
• Implement real-time image processing and computer vision models for robust object detection and scene understanding.
• Develop multi-modal interaction systems, leveraging Vision-Language Models (VLMs), to enable intuitive voice and gesture-based UI control.
• Contribute to the deployment of AI models on edge devices, focusing on achieving low-latency and high-efficiency performance.
• Master or PhD holders in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related field. Work or study experience at global top 100 institutions. Final year PhDs and MPhills are also welcomed to apply.
• Strong background in computer science, software engineering, or a related natural science/engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Python or C++. Hands-on experience with frameworks/libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch, Unity, or Unreal Engine is a significant advantage.
• Mandatory on-site presence; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
• Prior research experience in Vision-Language Navigation (VLN) or other embodied navigation algorithms is preferred.
• Practical experience in visual algorithm engineering is preferred
