Job summary

Fresh Accounting Limited is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial management for clients across Hong Kong and beyond. You will oversee management accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while coordinating with teams in Singapore and Nepal.

Strong leadership and client-facing advisory skills are essential. You will mentor and develop the Fresh Accounting team, ensure timely financial closes, and deliver actionable insights to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting/finance roles; client accounts or multi-entity exposure is a plus.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and regulatory reporting experience.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis expertise.
• Experience documenting policies and internal controls.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced (or ambitious, aspiring) Accounting Manager to manage all aspects of financial management on behalf of our clients across the region. The successful candidate will lead management accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and the development of internal controls and accounting policies. This is primarily an office-based role in Hong Kong with regular collaboration with our Singapore and Nepal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations for multiple clients across Hong Kong and Singapore, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and publish monthly financial statements and management reports for clients in different jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; analyse variances and present actionable insights to clients.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and coordinate regulatory reporting to local authorities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Research and advise on technical accounting issues to ensure compliance and best practice across regional operations.
• Design, document and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls for clients and coordinate consistent approaches across our Hong Kong, Singapore and Nepal teams.
• Provide hands-on support, guidance and training to client finance teams and internal colleagues across the region; act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor and develop the internal Fresh Accounting teams across Hong Kong, Singapore and Nepal — including setting performance expectations, delivering coaching and training, and supporting career development.
• Identify skills gaps and training needs, and implement learning initiatives to strengthen the teams' technical and soft skills.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional qualification preferred (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in practice or in-house finance roles; experience managing client accounts or multiple entities across jurisdictions is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior team members.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, regulatory reporting and month/year-end processes.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience developing accounting policies, process documentation and internal controls.
• Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with cloud accounting systems (Xero, or similar) is an advantage.
• Comfortable working across time zones with clients and coordinating with teams in Singapore and Nepal.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable providing training and client-facing advice.
• A collaborative, client-focused working environment with exposure to diverse businesses across Hong Kong and Singapore.
