Job summary

Lo & Lawyers is seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team in Admiralty, HK. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting department to ensure accurate, organised financial records in compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate has GCSEs in Maths and English, accounting qualifications (AAT/NVQ) or willingness to pursue them, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• GCSE/O-Level Mathematics and English are required or equivalent.
• AAT Level 2 or 3, or NVQ in Accounting or willingness to pursue such qualifications.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software packages.
• Experience with VAT, PAYE, or payroll administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions, invoices, receipts and expense claims.
• Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers with accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing.
• Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare financial documents and reports for management and regulators.
• File and organize financial documents securely.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve queries.
• Assist with general admin tasks related to the accounting function.
