Job summary

M+DESIGN in Hong Kong is seeking a talented 3D Designer to contribute to immersive brand experiences across exhibitions, events, pop-ups, retail stores, and POSM. You will shape consumer-centric spaces and collaborate with a dynamic team on Master Design and Design Development projects.

The role requires a degree in Retail Design or related fields and a minimum of 3 years of 3D design experience, preferably in cosmetics, luxury, or retail sectors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Retail Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Spatial Design, 3D Design, or a related field (recent graduates with strong portfolios welcome).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in 3D design, preferably in retail, experiential, exhibition, event, pop-up, store, or POSM projects.
• Experience in cosmetics, beauty, or luxury retail sector is highly advantageous.
• Basic understanding of how design impacts consumer behavior and brand experience.
• Creative mindset with good attention to detail and enthusiasm for retail and experiential spaces.
• Solid problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly in a supportive team environment.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support Creative Directors and senior team members on Master Design and Design Development projects across exhibitions, events, pop-ups, retail stores, and POSM.
• Help generate and refine ideas during pitches and brainstorming sessions, contribute fresh perspectives and support the creation of effective 3D design solutions.
• Assist in all stages of assigned projects under supervision, including concept ideation, basic space planning, 3D modeling, rendering, technical drawings, and material research/selection.
• Stay current with emerging design trends, innovative techniques, new materials, and industry best practices to elevate our creative output.

About the Role

Technical Skills (Required)

• Proficiency in Sketchup, (Enscape is a plus)
• Strong command of Autocad, 3ds Max (with V-Ray), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Highly Valued / Advantageous

• Ability to produce quick hand sketches to communicate ideas .
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation and presentations .
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and generative AI to enhance creative workflows .
• Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to support regional and international projects .
• Immediate or very short notice availability is preferred.
