About the School

Masterclass is working with a supportive and inclusive school catering for pupils aged 7-16 with a range of special educational needs. They are committed to providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role

We are seeking a patient, dedicated, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide personalised support that helps pupils access learning and develop independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
  • Assist with differentiated activities and adapt resources where required.
  • Follow EHCPs, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments.
  • Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times.
  • Promote inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care experience welcomed).
  • Be calm, patient, and adaptable, with a positive approach to behaviour support.
  • Be confident supporting pupils aged 7-16 across different key stages.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education.
